STOPMOTION

So now in class we're gonna have to make a stopmotion video. And its really gonna suck. I don't have a lot of patience, so if you have an impatient guy trying to make a a stopmotion video, your gonna have some disaster ahead of you. But on the bright side, our next video project is gonna be a fun one. We get to make a music video! Now thats something I think imma gonna enjoy! I even have a song prepared, Demons by Brian Mcfadden. And on top of that, this weekend I'm gonna download a mod called Afraid of Monsters (a Half Life 1 mod) that in my opinion, isn't just the scariest mod ever, by the SCARIEST GAME ever. So I'm ready to be scared out of mind, and I'm also ready to be "afraid of monsters" (crappy pun intended) Also a special thanks to my friend cyrus106, for sending me a copy of Half Life, he has a Youtube channel, and if you have nothing else better to do, then check out his vids :)

Lending a Helping Hand, and being a bit Lazy XD

Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated the blog in awhile. Its not that I've been lazy (well ok I guess I was just a little lazy) but rather, I've been a bit busy. You see, its kinda of a long story, so brace yourselves. I met a guy over Youtube a month ago who makes Let's Play videos, as well as Half Life Mod gameplay vids. You could say we're friends now, as I'm one of his most active fans as well, I try helping him in any way I can, like trying to set up Skype stuff and servers for games and other stuff that if I said right now would make me look more like a nerd then I already am. If that makes any sense?? Buy anyways, he's really sick now, AND on top of being sick, Youtube screwed up somehow, and now HALF of his videos are gone. Half of a year's worth of work is gone now, and he's kinda depressed about it (cause he's worked really hard) and I've been just a bit worried about him. I've been trying to help him over the internet, and I haven't been able to do much stuff on the blog. So sorry about that again, I'm trying to get back into the groove of blogging daily (or at least trying to)

Song of the Day: Running up that Hill- Placebo
I heard this song on NCIS Los Angeles, and LOVED it. If anyone would like to see the epic scene I heard this song in, heres the link below, otherwise the above link is just a HQ version of the song

School Again :P

So after like a week of snow and ice. I'm finally back in school. I'm not upset I'm back in school, but now I have to start re-adapting back into school-life. Waking up at like 6, homework and tests, gotta start writing more neatly thats for sure. Another thing is that since I've been all alone the past week I've been alone, so know I gotta get back into my social life. Its been just a tad awkward being back in school, but its not all that bad. I get to see my friends again, and now I have something to do during the day besides stalking people on Facebook (lol, ya'll know I'm just kidding, and contrary to popular belief, NO, I'm not always online. I just comment on a lot of stuff. I'm just active.) Tomorrow we have a science test. Yay... and that History assignment is NOT as bad as everyone thinks, it took me only like less then an hour. I have no idea where this post is going. I guess my brain melted over our "unofficial" holiday, but who knows. :P

I Like Wheat Thins

Another day of snow, another day of no school, another day of living my boring Asian life. So hopefully you read my previous post about snow days for Asians, which after reading through a couple of times, made me realize it didn't really have that much to do with snow days after all, but rather about how much Asian parents SUCK!!! But don't worry, today I will simply be telling what my schedule was today.

6:30- wake up
6:35-8- Play Steam games
8-12- watch TV and eat wheat thins
12:10- throw away box of wheat thins and get another box
12:15-2- watch TV and eat wheat thins
2:05- throw away box of wheat thins
2:06- take out the trash
2:07- find out that the top of my garbage can outside was frozen
2:08-2:15- attempted to pry open the top, eventually succeeded
2:15-6- watch TV, and not eat wheat thins, cause I was all out
6:30- ate dinner
6:30-9:20- chatted on FB
9:25- updating my blog

So yeah, that was my schedule..... oh but one thing that happened was because of all the blackouts going on, I turned my room into a fallout bunker. In case a blackout hit my house and the heat went out, I would have a place to wait it out. My room is currently over 90 degrees :D
So yeah, happy "Yay no school because theres snow!!!!" day :P

Snow Day Fun Day! Right?...

Sigh, everyone loves snow days right? Kids get to play in the snow, and teens get another day off from school. Parents sometimes even get to miss work because they can't get to work! So everyone wins! Or so we think everyone wins, oh no, not everyone gets to enjoy the luxuries of an "unofficial day off." Its boring when you are cut off from the outside world, besides Facebook and this blog, I really have no other way to indirectly contact with other people. Can't text, don't got Live, no Skype, and calling has now become something of a taboo among American teenagers (or "Americanized Asians" such as myself). But no, Asian parents don't care. They don't care if you become the most boring, uninteresting, unsocial person in the world, but: "As long as you graduate college with at least 3 PHds, thats all that matters. Make lots of money to support your family, bring honor to your family, sports doesn't matter because it doesn't make you smarter, master the violin and the piano, and become the best of the best so that you can show those Americans who's boss!" Thats pretty much the motto to every Asian parent in America, if not the world. Theres only one problem with this, well, its more like 10. Allow me to present to you the "10 Deadly Sins of a typical Asian Parent":

1. No matter how smart you are, you'll never find a GF if your unsocial, so therefore besides your parents, theres no one to use your money on to "support your family"

2. Despite stereotypes, not every Asian is a "child prodigy" or a "musical genius" yet Asian Parents still urged their children to master both academics and music.

3. Going back to number 2, although I can understand them pushing their kids to master both, they shouldn't obsess over making them the best.

4. Asian parents DO NOT give a wooden nickel about their kid's emotions or feelings. They believe that "tough love" is the way to go, so most try to knock any signs of feeling out of their kids, because if a child does not have any emotions, then they will do better in school. Thats all bullcorn. Emotion is what makes us human, and to take that away would be a cruel thing to do.

5. Going back to number 4, Asian parents do not understand sarcasm or any other form of joking. Eventually this will lead to their kids also not having a strong sense of humor.

6. They don't care about how athletic you are. "China needs more doctors and scientists, not athletes." So says many Asian parents.

7. They don't even remotely approve of dating... nuff said.

8. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, Asian parents also do not condone the dating of any other race. Which means that because I am Asian, I am only allowed to date other Asians. No Whites, no Blacks, and no Latinos.

9. Asian Parents are never content with what their children have achieved. If you get a letter from the state governor telling you what a good job you've been doing in school, they want a letter from the president. You master all of Mozart's songs on piano, now they want you to master all of Bach's. You get a Master's from MIT, now they want a PhD from Yale. You just bought the entire United States? Now they want you to buy Canada.

10. Now here comes the one thing I hate most, the unforgivable sin. Asian parents always LOVE comparing you to other Asian kids. Heres an example: pretend my name is Kevin, and I just got an A- on my science final, and my friend Vince (who is also Asian) got an A+. Here's an example of what an Asian parent might say (complete with the bad English! yay!) "Kevin!!! Why you no get A+ on your final science?! You no study harder enough!!! Look at Vince, he get A+ on his test. Why you not as smarter as Vince??!! You bring shame to your family!!! You go study harder so you smart like Vince and make gooder grades like Vince!!!
Yeah, annoying ain't it? So imagine your parents comparing you to every single Asian kid you knew.... every single day...

So yeah, just remember that when your out having fun with your friends on a snow day. Think about those poor Asian teenagers being forced to study for things they don't need to study for, and drilling for things that they won't need. Thankfully at least my parents don't make me do that, but I guarantee you that at least 98% of all Asian parents, would make their kids work on a snow day. Just thank the "10 Deadly Sins" for that...
